1890 (January 2) Registered cover from Fordwich to Clinton, Ontario, trimmed at right to improve appearance, beautifully franked with two pairs of 2c orange RLS neatly cancelled by segmented corks, docketing at left, clear Fordwich JA 2 split ring dispatch; paying combined 3c postage and 5c registration contrary to regulations but accepted and delivered. Four different backstamps including two RPOs and Clinton receiver. A striking multiple usage of the 2 cent RLS, Fine to Very Fine (Unitrade F1) ex. Horace Harrison (October 2003; Lot 315)
