Canada 1940-1941 War Savings Stamps
1940-1941 War Savings Stamps – the outstanding John Cooper exhibit collection offered in its entirety, displayed on 32 double size exhibit pages (17” x 11” inches) and accommodating its myriad one-of-a-kind original models, essays, printer’s record book pages, progressive proofs, initial die proofs for “approval”, trial colour and issued colour die proofs, booklets and certificates, along with printer’s official correspondences. Extra material including newer acquisitions, many of which do not duplicate items in the exhibit, are also enclosed.
This 4-frame exhibit collection begins with 1940 25c blue followed by 1941 First Issue “Spitfire” leading to the main content of this fabulous collection – the 1941 Second Issue portraying eight War time pictorial scenes. We note the following:
