Early 1869 One cent deep orange on soft white "Blotting" paper, an extraordinary stamp printed on the distinctive Duckworth Paper 8 - reported in the second edition “The Large Queen Stamps of Canada and Their Use” by H.E. & H.W. Duckworth. Unused with exceptional colour – perhaps part of the very first printing of the newly revised colour on the One cent, along with superb impression as one of the defining characteristics found on this paper type, showing the sharpest impression one can possibly find on this particular stamp. Extremely rare and highly desirable in sound condition. Currently unlisted in Unitrade and the first unused example we recall seeing, Fine+; 2017 Greene Foundation certificate (Unitrade 23 variety)
