1876 (January 15) Yellow envelope mailed to the Bahamas, bearing two 3c orange red, Montreal printing perf 11½x12 singles tied by St. Catherines, Ont. split ring CDS, second strike at left, paying the 6 cent pre-UPU letter rate to the Bahamas via the United States, neat New York JAN 27 transit in red, manuscript "3" (cents) credit to US and blue "4" for Bahamas 4p charge on delivery.
