Item # S007625
Canada CL13b + i
1926 (July 1) (25c) Patricia Airways, Style One, an exceedingly rare positional mint example with green route inscription showing small “t” to “TO” (Position 8) variety in addition to the rarely seen INVERTED “RED LAKE” marginal inscription in error, reasonably centered with full original gum, slight trace of disturbance but never hinged; THE ONLY KNOWN example, Fine to Very Fine (Unitrade CL13b + i; catalogue value $6,000+; no premium added for the variety)
THE ONLY KNOWN INVERT RED LAKE SHOWING THE SMALL “t” VARIETY TO GREEN ROUTE INSCRIPTION.
An interesting observation - the small “t” to “TO” variety is not constant on every pane with the Green route inscription (Position 8, the lower right stamp in the pane of eight). However, it is constant on panes with the scarcer Official Blue-Black route inscription.
