1868 One cent Prince of Wales, National Bank Note Co. trial colour plate proofs, an impressive lot of five pairs in different colours, engraved, on distinctive gummed thin hard wove paper with Experimental quadrilled varnish bars, printed in dull dark violet, chestnut brown, orange, red and blue. The first such grouping we recall ever seeing, unusual and striking, Very Fine (Unitrade 32TC, unlisted)
