centered $1 on 15c airmail tied by St. John's JUN 9 5PM 1919 machine cancellation, Harbour Grace JU 14 19 departure CDS at left, carried on the ill-fated flight that crashed at Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. The mail was then carried by ship to England. A much above average example of this well-documented and scarce flight cover, Very Fine (Unitrade C2)

A recent census compiled by JC Vasseur indicates 34 flight covers have been accounted for from the 115 carried in the St. John's Mail postmarked June 9 (as reported by Dalwick & Harmer).
